Just as the American public can write its congressmen to share views and concerns, they can also send letters to local grocers, requesting a specific product be put on the shelf. King Arthur Flour is currently working on gaining distribution in major supermarkets for its gluten-free product line of mixes and flours. So, to encourage interested consumers to contact their local grocers, King Arthur has conveniently provided text that can be quickly and easily copied and pasted by the consumer. By eliminating the step of the consumer having to write the letter, the odds he or she will send a letter, greatly improves. In turn, odds that the product will be sold by those grocers improve, as well. Very smart move on King Arthur’s part to enlist consumers in their distribution efforts.
